BonelliErede’s partnership has expanded with the appointment of Angelino Alfano and Enrico Vergani as partners, both of whom were formerly of counsel at the firm. The two appointments, effective as of 1 January, were approved at the partners’ meeting yesterday.
Angelino joined BonelliErede in June 2018 after an impressive career in government. He now marks the next step in his career as a partner based at the firm’s Milan office. Angelino will remain leader of the Public International Law & Economic Diplomacy Focus Team, member of the Corporate Compliance Focus Team and member of the Golden Powers Task Force.
Furthermore Angelino will continue to work on strengthening BonelliErede’s international presence. He will also continue to assist companies, countries, authorities and institutions.
Enrico Vergani has been based at BonelliErede’s Genoa office since October 2019. As a partner, he will maintain leadership of the firm’s Shipping and Transport Focus Team and his role as Practice Manager of the related department.
Enrico will seek to consolidate BonelliErede’s transport and navigation law practice across EMEA and will continue to work alongside the team’s professionals to enhance the firm’s offering in this area.

With these two appointments, BonelliErede now boasts a total of over 750 people across EMEA, including 85 partners.
