Third International Conference for a Euro-Mediterranean Community of International Arbitration | Milan, 18 January 2017
18 January 2017

The United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the Institute for the Promotion of Arbitration and Mediation in Mediterranean (ISPRAMED) – with BonelliErede’s support – are holding the third International Conference for a Euro-Mediterranean Community of International Arbitration today, 18 January.

A Euro-Mediterranean community of international arbitration is key for stability and economic growth in the South and East of the Mediterranean. With the conference focusing on growth opportunities, it is certainly a not-to-be-missed event for experts around the world in international arbitration.

During the conference, a training session tailored to government officials will be run on investment arbitration, with of counsel Antonio Crivellaro among the trainers. The sessions will address the following topics: what action to take when facing a claim from an investor, the issues to consider when preparing/signing an investment treaty or reforming domestic legislation on dispute resolution, and the impact of multilateral investment treaties on the general framework for investments.

Members from the Africa Team, Gianfranco Veneziano (partner) and Lorenzo Melchionda (local partner based in Cairo) will also be attending the conference.
