The 11th edition of the Legalcommunity Corporate M&A Awards was held on 30 June in Milan, this year focusing on corporate law, particularly on real estate, private equity, pharma and Made in Italy.

BonelliErede came away with three awards – making us the most awarded firm of the night.

Of counsel Antonio Crivellaro was crowned Lawyer of the Year – Dispute Resolution/Arbitration for his success in reaching, with the support of his team, the historic agreement between the companies and local authorities to end a dispute concerning the project to expand the waterway that connects the Atlantic Ocean with the Pacific Ocean. The judging panel highlighted that Antonio is considered “one of the most well-known and respected arbitrators in the Italian market and abroad”.

BonelliErede also won “Deal of the Year Pharma”, for our work on the deal between one of the world’s leading research-based pharmaceutical and healthcare companies and a Swiss multinational pharmaceutical company. The team was supported by the firm’s Healthcare Focus Team, led by Andrea Carta Mantiglia who accepted the award on the team’s behalf.

And finally, BonelliErede was praised for its key role in Italy’s most important listing for 2014, namely the IPO of an Italian listed company that owned the broadcasting infrastructure. Barbara Napolitano accepted the award “IPO of the Year” on behalf of the team that assisted the issuer.
