This note provides a preliminary, general overview of the possible remedies and protection concessionaires and operators have in response to the negative impact of the Covid-19 emergency on concession agreements (both work and service concessions) and PPPs, both with respect to the possibility to avoid liability if they fail to fulfil contractual obligations under and to ensure minimum service levels, and to the power to request an extraordinary revision of the economic and financial plan.
