In the first week of June, the media began reporting on explanatory memoranda and draft legislation relating to Egypt’s second tax facilities package, first announced by the Ministry of Finance in December 2025. So far, the package includes seven amendments concerning income tax, value added tax, stamp duty, and tax dispute settlement committees. We expect Egypt’s House of Representatives to approve the amendments before its summer recess in July 2026.
