BonelliErede is starting the New Year with a key appointment: Massimiliano Danusso, who joins the firm as a partner in the Banking and Finance practice and is also taking over the role of Managing Partner of the London office.

Massimiliano Danusso joins from Allen & Overy, where he acted as Managing Partner of the Italian offices and head of the Italian International Capital Markets practice. He specialises in structured finance operations in risk capital and derivatives. Massimiliano has also previously advised on the design of new derivatives; on complex synthetic and non-synthetic securitisation transactions; and on bond offerings in connection with the placement on Italian and foreign markets.

As mentioned, Massimiliano Danusso will also take over the role of Managing Partner of the London office from Andrea Carta Mantiglia, who commented. The arrival of this new team and the confirmation of the professionals already based in the City will ensure BonelliErede a distinctive ability to oversee the London market due to the prestige, experience and seniority of the professionals involved”.

Also joining the firm is a team of eight lawyers (including senior lawyers Gianpaolo Garofalo, Francesca Marchetti, Stefania Aristei and Sara Cerrone) – who have previously worked with Massimiliano. The new working group will be headquartered in London, though some of the team members will be based in Rome and Milan.
